Good to know: the course was awarded the SecNumEdu label by ANSSI (Agence Nationale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d’Information) in 2018.

What is the Cybersecurity major program?

The Cybersecurity major is a two-year engineering course. The first year enables students to acquire skills in the design and management of information systems. In the second year, they focus more on defensive cybersecurity.

You’ll develop a wealth of knowledge during your course. For example, you’ll learn how to understand IT infrastructures and networks, or master systems modeling.

You will take the following courses, among others:

  • Operating systems
  • Computer networks
  • Cryptography
  • Identity and access management
  • Advanced web technologies
  • Advanced databases
  • Security in Windows

What diploma do I get after completing the Cybersecurity major in the ECE engineering curriculum?

As a CTI-accredited engineering school, ECE meets the highest standards of engineering education. It therefore awards an engineering diploma recognized by the RNCP, corresponding to a bac+5 level.

What are the career prospects for the Cybersecurity major?

The Cybersecurity major in ECE’s engineering curriculum prepares students for a variety of careers in information systems security. You could be working in consulting and expertise, in product development to develop new tools, or in production to manage information systems.

Note that the ECE Cybersecurity major can be taken on a work-study course. This enables you to apply what you learn in the classroom to real-life situations in the workplace. You’ll learn good reflexes and gain experience.

What are the admission requirements for the Cybersecurity major in the ECE engineering curriculum?

To enter the Cybersecurity major, you need to have completed the first three years of the ECE Grande École Engineering Program, or a 3-year IT degree.

Is it possible to study abroad while choosing the Cybersecurity major?

The Cybersecurity major in ECE’s Engineering program opens the doors to international business! During your two years of study, you have the opportunity to carry out your internships abroad. You can also study abroad at an ECE partner school and obtain a double-diploma.
